Overview

SONOR has introduced the first release in its Craftsmen's Collection: the 150th Anniversary Vintage African Marble Shell Set. The idea is very SONOR: take a highly curated combination of premium appointments, refine it through the brand's German workshop mindset, and release it as a small, collector-grade configuration.
The shell recipe is the headline. SONOR specifies 9-ply, 6 mm shells with fully rounded bearing edges, built from 8 plies of North American maple plus an outer ply of African Marble veneer under clear high-gloss lacquer. The result sits visually in luxury-kit territory while keeping the rounded-edge Vintage concept focused on a full, warm response.
Hardware details are equally specific: Vintage Series-style parts such as Teardrop lugs, Superprofil hoops, Prism clamps and bass drum fittings are finished in Ruthenium plating. The matching snare is upgraded with SONOR's Dual Glide throw-off, and the shell set is limited to 100 pieces worldwide.

Why it matters
This is not a broad catalog update. It is a small-run SONOR statement kit: Vintage Series feel, maple/African Marble shell construction, luxury-plated hardware and anniversary positioning in one fixed package for players and collectors who want something intentionally rare.
