The Meinl Pure Alloy PA14EHH is a 14 inch Extra Hammered Hihat built with a medium-thin top and medium bottom. According to Meinl, the extra hammering creates a pre-EQ feel: a dry upper-mid attack, plus a touch of low-end sizzle and crunch that adds warmth and naturally compressed response.
Meinl also describes distinct behavior across playing positions: thick barks when opened, a dry foot chick when closed, and a robust wash with volume when fully open.
